Just Some Friendly Motivation (Where is Tommy's Picture?)

I drive 1,500 miles to play golf,
Just to cuss the game.
I play well in Kentucky,
Just to be disappointed in Florida
I let my dreams run rampant,
Just to have my dreams turn in to a 102 at Olympia
I AM THE LAGOON LEGEND MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT!

I know I have plenty of handicap this year,
Just not enough to win
I know I'm going to be MVP of my Ryder Cup Team,
Just to lose most rounds 4 and 3.
I've regripped my clubs or have bought new ones,
Just to swing like I've never swung a club before.
I AM THE LAGOON LEGEND MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT!

I know this is going to be my year to win,
Just to find out I'll have to wait 1 more year.
I packed my nicest clothes in my finest luggage,
Just to have other players make fun of me.
I can't wait for that first swing, that first round,
Just to shoot myself out of it the first day.

The tournament starts in 38 days! Brian has been going to the driving range every day at lunch time....Wag has been stopping by the shag field every day on the way home....Tommy and Bobby have been beating up on Jimmy Hicks every week to boost their moral.....Seve's been crying because he won't have Bob T. around to raise his game another notch.....Rughead's been stopping by Dad's 3 days a week gleaning pointers from the expert....Donnie,...well Donnie's just been sitting around laughing about how easy it's going to be from the white tees.

I expect everyone to be practicing (except you, Donnie...you're hitting from the whites. You don't need to practice).

We need to get or pre-trip round together sometime soon like we always do. We can discuss in more detail where we are going and draw for Ryder Cup teams. I also need a list sent to me of who is going...the media is
